C&L Aerospace, an industry leader in regional and business aviation support, has been appointed an authorized integrator of Universal Avionics, a line of innovative avionics systems for more than 150 different aircraft types. This addition to C&L’s services, along with the aircraft paint hangar that opened this month, expands the company’s position as a complete, one-stop shop for regional and business aircraft needs.
C&L already offers customers maintenance, painting and interior refurbishments at the company’s 120,000 square-foot complex at Bangor International Airport. Now avionics upgrades can be completed at the same time, eliminating costly transports to other service locations. And because C&L has state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and materials (an on-site warehouse with satellite sites in Europe and Australia has more than 500,000 parts available), the company’s highly-trained technicians get aircraft back into service quickly.
“We’ve been working with Universal Avionics for a while now,” Phil Miholovich, C&L’s Director of Maintenance, said. “It’s great to have a closer relationship with them, and we already have a number of projects we are working on that require Universal’s products.”
Universal Avionics manufactures a wide range of systems, including those for flight management, voice and flight data recording, cockpit-to-ground communications, synthetic vision, and terrain awareness and warning. Universal Avionics also makes flat panel instrument displays, radio control units and electronic flight bags.
